The SBS series Good Sunday—Barefoot Friends, in which the cast get along well with the natives of Indonesia, will be aired in May 12. In the series, the the cast are given the mission of living like the natives for 24 hours. To fulfill their mission, they visit a produce market in Yogyakarta at dawn. They try their hand at the work of carrying things piggyback, called gendong in the Indonesian language.
Wandering around the produce market, the barefoot friends compete against each other to get hired. Kim Hyun Joong and Yoon Si Yoon sing “GEE,” a Girl’s Generation song, and dance together to capture the attention of a girl who is the daughter of the owner of an apple shop. All the people laugh at them.
Barefoot Friends is a reality show that takes the cast (Kang Ho Dong, Yoon Jong Shin, Kim Hyun Joong, Kim Bum Soo, Yoo Se Yoon, Yoon Si Yoon, Eun Hyuk of Super Junior, and UEE of Aftershool) to places around the world and has them try to live like the locals.
